I’m a fully-qualified and comprehensively insured Cognitive Hypnotherapist and NLP Practitioner.  I trained with the internationally-recognised Trevor Silvester at the Quest Institute which teaches leading-edge techniques including Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation & Reprocessing).   Having had a successful career in the management team of a FTSE 100 company I began to realise that it wasn’t ‘me’.

My passion was for seeing people reach their full potential and the constraints of the corporate world was not allowing that to fully happen. So I ‘followed by bliss’.  The traditional image people tend to have for hypnotherapists is of someone with a swinging watch who mysteriously puts you into a state where they control you and re-programme your mind. No wonder my mother wasn’t too keen on my change of career…

I continue my professional development with on-going specialist training including sports performance.

I have recently moved my successful London practice to Cornwall.

The National Council for Hypnotherapy, to which I belong, implements the highest standards of training and professional ethics amongst its members and I comply with their strict code of ethics and public protection policies.

I am registered with:
UK Confederation of Hypnotherapy Organisations (UKCHO), registration number 90057
Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC), registration number 000792-L10.  In 2000, following the House of Lords Science and Technology  Report  on Complementary and Alternative  Medicines, The Princes Foundation for Integrated Health (PFIH) set up the CNHC to regulate the quality of practitioners to protect the public.  The programme was supported by the King’s Fund and Department of Health.  Whoever you see, ensure they are a member of the CNHC so you know they are regulated and you are protected.

What do the letters mean?

AccHypSup - This is the National Council of Hypnotherapy’s accredited supervisors qualification.  I am a supervisor to other practising hypnotherapists assisting in their professional development.
DipCHyp – Diploma in Cognitive Hypnotherapy.  This is the qualification awarded by The Quest Institute the worlds leading hypnotherapy training organisation who have pioneered Cognitive Hypnotherapy.
HPD -  Hypnotherapy Practitioners Diploma, the qualification verified by The National Council of Hypnotherapy (NCH).  This is the only, independently accredited, professional standard qualification in Hypnotherapy in the UK.
MNLP – Neuro-Linguistic Programming Master Practitioner .  Long words that say I have had further training in understanding how our minds work and how our thinking effects our every day life experience.
MNCH(Acc) – This demonstrates I a member of the National Council of Hypnotherapy and sign up to their strict code of conduct and professional development.  There are different membership statuses starting with Licentiate (Lic) for newly qualified therapists.  (Acc) means I am an Accredited member which is the level for more experienced therapists.
